Raven

“Corvus corax”

The Raven is a large black passerine of the crow family.

A group of Ravens is also known as a

“rant’ or “bazaar” or “constable”

of Ravens. It is the largest member of the crow family.

They live for around 10 to 15 years in the wild.

They are 60 to 68cm long

They have a wingspan of 120 to 150cm

They weigh in at between 800 and 1,500g

There are around 7,400 breeding pairs in the uk.

They eat carrion, birds, eggs, insects,

mammals, and invertebrates.

There are Ravens in the Tower of London.

They can be seen all year round.
