The fieldfare is a member of the thrush family. It is is migratory and comes to the uk in.
The winter for berries insects and worms.
It is often spotted in large flocks.
It has a chestnut brown back and yellowy breast
and a pale grey rump and head.
They nest in colonies for protection and will
aggressively defend the nest.
They are 24 to 26cm in length.
They have a wingspan of 40cm.
They weigh in at 100g.
They live on average for only 2 years.
They are on the red list and are protected.
