Eagle Owl

The European Eagle Owl has a powerful and fast flight and they are mostly active at dawn and dusk.

It is one of the largest owls.

It has 2 ear tufts and large orange eyes.

The wings and tail are barred.

They live for 20 years in the wild and up to 60 years in captivity.

It eats hares, rodents, rabbits, and birds.

They lay 2 eggs incubated by the female and the male provides the food for them all.

They are around 60 to 75cm in length

They have a wingspan up to 188cm

They weigh in at around 2.7kg
