Black tailed godwit

"Limosa"

These long legged long billed birds probe deep in to the sand for aquatic worms and molluscs.

They flock together in search of food.

They measure 42cm from bill to tail with a wingspan

of 70 to 82cm and weigh in at between 280 and 340g.
